Most of the forms are now set up for A4 size paper and so printing should now be more convenient than before
Current Forms
The Local Government Finance Statistics Division of the Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) collects financial information from local authorities, mainly in England, although information on borrowing and investments is collected from all authorities in the UK.
The information is used for the purpose of informing Ministers involved in setting government policy and in the assessment of grants payable to authorities for carrying out their statutory functions. Aggregate data for all local authorities also go towards the make up of national accounts.
It is not yet possible to complete and return these forms electronically, although it will be acceptable to the Office if an authority wishes to print off a form, complete it and return it in the normal way - paper copies have already been despatched to the relevant authorities and are due for return by the deadline given on each form.
The forms and most guidance notes are in Adobe Acrobat format. This format enables you to download and then view and print documents so that they appear with their original formatting. If you have not already done so, you will need to download the free Adobe Acrobat viewer to use these documents. See advice on downloading Adobe Acrobat documents.
